A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Apo, Abuja, has ordered the final forfeiture of assets linked to businesswoman Aisha Achimugu to the Federal Government.

The assets include jewellery valued at N4.645 billion, 11 luxury vehicles worth N4.293 billion, $50,000 in cash and N30 million.

Justice Jude Onwugbuzie issued the forfeiture order on Thursday while delivering judgment on an application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The anti-graft agency had urged the court to permanently forfeit the assets, alleging they were proceeds of unlawful activities.

After considering the application and the evidence presented, the court granted the request, transferring ownership of the properties to the Federal Government.

The forfeited jewellery was valued at N4,645,170,294.90, while the fleet of 11 exotic vehicles was estimated at N4.293 billion. The order also covered $50,000 and N30 million recovered in cash.
