The lawmaker representing Abeokuta South Constituency II in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Igbalaye Wasiu Ayodele, has distributed free school uniforms to pupils and students in selected public schools across the constituency.

The initiative, implemented under his “Back to School” programme, is aimed at supporting families and reducing the financial burden associated with preparing children for the new academic session.

The first batch of the distribution exercise covered nine public primary and secondary schools in Abeokuta South Local Government Area.

Beneficiary schools included Anglican High School, Quarry; St. Paul Primary School, Oke-Igboore; Lisabi Primary School, Ita-Agemo; St. John Secondary School, Kuto; St. Andrews Primary School, Ibara; St. Ann’s Primary School, Oke-Ilewo, Ibara; Abeokuta Girls Grammar School, Onikolobo; Ijemo-Titun High School, Housing, Ibara; and St. Paul Primary School, Onikolobo.

The exercise provided the beneficiaries with brand-new school uniforms at no cost, as part of efforts by the lawmaker to promote education and provide direct support to constituents.

Igbalaye, who is also Chairman of the House Committee on Transportation, reaffirmed his commitment to the development and welfare of residents of Abeokuta South Constituency II.

He said he would continue to introduce interventions aimed at alleviating the challenges confronting constituents and improving their wellbeing through impactful programmes.
