Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has rejected her reported inclusion in the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos State Campaign Council, saying she is not involved in any campaign council and intends to stay out of politics.

Abraham made her position known in an Instagram Story post on Thursday, urging the public to disregard reports listing her as a member of the council’s Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate.

“I’m not a member of any campaign council. I have said it recently. I am staying out of politics. Please disregard the supposed inclusion of my name in any campaign committee,” she wrote.

Her name appeared on a list unveiled by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre ahead of the formal inauguration of the campaign council scheduled for Friday, September 18, 2026, at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road, Ikeja.

Toke Benson-Awoyinka is listed as Director of the Entertainment and Creative Economy Directorate, with actor Jide Kosoko as Co-Director and Eniola Badmus as Deputy Director.

Other entertainers listed include Bimbo Akintola, Bimbo Akintola, Adebayo Salami, Saheed Balogun, Bukky Wright, Fathia Balogun, Yinka Quadri, Tayo Sobola, Abiola Adebayo, Remi Oshodi, Foluke Daramola and Kikelomo Balogun.

The list also features Fuji musicians Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, Abass Akande Obesere, Adewale Ayuba, Malaika and Osupa, alongside other entertainers including Small Doctor.

Abraham’s rejection comes after she previously stated that she was staying away from partisan politics.
