The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has recorded fresh successes in its nationwide offensive against violent crimes, rescuing 12 kidnapped victims, arresting 15 suspects and recovering firearms, ammunition, stolen vehicles and other incriminating exhibits during coordinated operations conducted across 11 states within the last 24 hours.

The operations, which targeted kidnapping, armed robbery, vandalism, impersonation and other criminal activities, were carried out by tactical units and state police commands as part of ongoing efforts to curb insecurity across the country.

According to a police situation report released on Monday, operatives recorded breakthroughs in several states through intelligence-led operations, leading to the rescue of abducted victims and the arrest of suspected members of criminal syndicates. The police also recovered assorted firearms, ammunition, stolen vehicles, military uniforms and other exhibits believed to have been used in criminal operations.

The Force said the coordinated operations underscore its commitment to dismantling kidnapping networks and other organised criminal groups through proactive policing, intelligence gathering and collaboration with other security agencies.

The latest successes come amid intensified nationwide security operations aimed at addressing the rising cases of kidnapping-for-ransom and violent crimes. Security agencies have in recent weeks recorded several breakthroughs, including the rescue of abducted schoolchildren and teachers in Oyo State, as well as sustained military offensives against terrorists and criminal gangs in different parts of the country.

The police reiterated their resolve to sustain the momentum, assuring Nigerians that efforts would continue to ensure the arrest and prosecution of criminal elements while protecting lives and property.

The Force also urged members of the public to remain vigilant and support security agencies by providing timely and credible information that could aid ongoing operations, stressing that community cooperation remains critical to the fight against crime and insecurity.
